I love my stays at Becker’s Chalets and visiting the Becker’s Gourmet Restaurant. The grounds are beautiful, quiet except for the energy of the Athabasca River flowing by, which is surprisingly soothing.

I can see wildlife right on the property as well as at sites that aren’t far away.

I took a quick drive to Pyramid Lake on the same day as I spotted the bull elk on the property. Here are some of the photos:

No Bears here today, at least when I was there. From Pyramid I went to the Medicine Lake view-point.

The next morning I expressed my thanks and good-byes, then headed home with a few stops along the highway in the park to observe some Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep.

The full name is Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep

The two made it down safely

In the next couple of shots, further down the highway, there was a small group of Rocky Mountain Sheep across the road from me.

This one was slightly ahead, isolated from the others.
Boy, did I ever get a look. Caption, anyone?

I enjoyed the trip, met a lot of people, both other tourists or staff. I liked my cabin a lot and have already booked it for next spring.

For the next while I will focus on locations in Edmonton and hopefully capture images of birds, etc.
