We have miles and miles of trails along the Saskatchewan River and creeks in ravines that run the length of the city. Good for biking, walking and other vehicles such as scooters.
Hawrelak Park has been closed for 3 years getting an overhaul of the underground pipes, some of the trees and the picnic sights. There now is a restaurant in the pavilion where one can change their skates.
I went with a friend and we were going to sit on the patio but it started pouring rain. Tried to get into the restaurant inside the pavilion, but it was so busy we couldn’t get in. After a 3/4 hour wait, we decided to go to a cafe downtown.

It was a happy event for me to see Hawrelak Park open again even if we did get rained out. It is a good location for walking and birding.
